MARINE DIVE - BANGKOK
RECEIVES INDUSTRY AWARD
International Clean Up Day in September
is an annual tradition at PADI Dive Centre - Marine
Dive in Bangkok. In true Project AWARE style, they
have been involved with the event for several years
now and for the past two clean up’s have concentrated
their efforts at Koh Lan in Pattaya.
Every year their volunteer force
grows larger and so does the amount of rubbish they
collect. Last year with a squad of 212 people and
9 boats they gathered an amazing 1,035 kilos of
trash from the area.
For their ongoing dedication to
the environment, Marine Dive’s owner, Suksun Chuthasan
was presented with PADI’s Industry Award for “Outstanding
Contribution to the Spirit of Project AWARE” at
the Asian Dive Expo in Bangkok.
Marine Dive will be participating
again this year for the 18th Annual International
Clean Up Day, scheduled for September 20th.
